LHS Wrestlers take 3rd at State!
Tyler Berg is State Champ! Caleb Osborn and Josh Hartzell take 2nd and Tyler Mann took 3rd. Jacob Brock, Jacob Glidewell, Trenton Scobee and Tyler Owens were also state qualifiers! Congrats to coaches Mudd and Tichenor as well! Thanks for a great season!

October 2011 Survey on Four Day or Five Day
These are the results of a survey given to all parents that attended P-T Conferences in October of 2011. There was one main question: For next year would you prefer a four day week, a five day week or no preference. Results were 3 to 1 in favor of keeping the four day school week.

Distinction in Performance Awards Banquet

Two school board members, Kelly Butler and Robin Douglas; two teachers, Kathy Gately and Andrea Hieronymus; and Dr. Blackburn attended the Distinction in Performance Awards Banquet in April of 2011. At the banquet, the district was recognized in three different areas. First was the recognition for the outstanding Annual Performance Report, which awards the district Distinction in Performance. Second was the recognition for the elementary school for being one of seven state-wide exemplary Professional Learning Community schools. And the third recognition was for Mr. Rardon being the outstanding northwest elementary principal of the year.
